The Hospice Chaplain

Zion's Way Hospice extends spiritual support to all patients and caregivers. Our chaplains are non-denominational and are not meant as a replacement to your private religious leaders or spiritual advisers, but rather a companion and possible confidant. Many worries and fears can be generated as death approaches. The hospice chaplain makes himself available not only for private counseling, but as an assistant to ensure all spiritual needs are met, including: administering the sacrament, confession, last rites, religious ceremonies or blessings. End-of-life is often a time of reflection. Connecting with one's own grief or learning to forgive someone from the past are normal occurrences. During this emotional time, having someone near to bring peace, comfort and friendship can lift the spirits of all concerned and provide a sense of contentment.
